Virtual assistants can definitely help make your workload lighter, but there are also virtual assistant benefits nobody ever talks about. These benefits are things that a virtual assistant can handle for you in a very efficient manner.
Data Entry
One of the virtual assistant benefits not often talked about is data entry. Virtual assistants can be assigned a data entry task and allowed to work until finished. They save you a great deal of time and money over using any other data entry type clerk. They work tirelessly and accurately with the right supervision. By giving them clear instructions on data entry they will be able to complete your task with minimal effort.
Email Screening
A virtual assistant can be assigned the task of screening your emails. If you want to see productivity soar, have your virtual assistant go into your email and sort them into action folders for you. This will allow you to immediately focus on the most important emails up front. You won’t waste time wading through a bunch of emails that are not important.
Expense Reports
Another virtual assistant benefit is they can fill out your expense reports. If you set up a system whereby your receipts land in a particular folder each month, your virtual assistant will have your expense report ready for submission before the last receipt is even logged. This will enable you to get reimbursed more quickly. It takes the work out of getting reimbursed for expenses.
Perform Research
Research is another important task a virtual assistant can perform for you. Have them do the research and create a set of notes for you. This will save you an immense amount of time. As you review the notes provided, make note of anything you need more details on and then provide those to your virtual assistant so they can do more research for you.
Our Advice
We suggest that you make a list of things that will save you time and money if given to a virtual assistant. Think outside the box. Leave no stone unturned because there are many creative ways that exist for using a virtual assistant.
The only real limitations are those you place on the use of a virtual assistant. I personally use my virtual assistants as clerical staff all the time. I have a list of things they can do for me and when any project arises, I consult my list and then assign a virtual assistant to things they can handle for me. It makes things much easier at the time of assignment because I’ve already figured out what tasks can and cannot be assigned to the virtual assistant.
